Artist Bio or Statement

Just as your eye cannot feel itself in the act of seeing art is art. There are no trimmings or efforts that make art better or different because there is no reasoning to the creational act of making. When making art there are no rules only the means and the methods of pulling from the pool of muck what surfaces from the subconscious. The day was meant for the day and the night the night and there’s no in-between. There is no truth outside of what is substantiated in the singular moment of a creative act. Freedom is anything but free as there are no exits from reality.

There are visions
Once in a long love
They moved us
Never once doubted
There’s no phone
In the bathroom
That can call back
To those days
The lost and found
Real is a no show
Life’s a pancake
Flat and buttery
Devastation bound
Lost meaning
Lost chances
Dancing but dying

I make art because when there are no limits this allows me to leave everyone else behind including myself in order to reach a level of clarity that makes life alive – the moment of aloneness is a unavoidably necessary sanctuary for the soul.

There are no methods or techniques or systems in this realm of existence – only the nakedness of longing – of reaching for the light in the darkness of living – this is the God particle of art and of being an artist for me – no substitute will do in this instance.
