Book 1: OECW: What are you Saving from Extinction?

Our Ever Changing World: Through the Eyes of Artists, Book 1, began with an inquiry into the quote by Frida Kahlo. “I paint flowers so they will not die.” Then the project grew into the question of “What are you saving from extinction?” and finally morphed into a sharing of stories, a special moment-in-time in an artists’ life. A possible aha! moment of awakening and connecting for them.

OECW: Book 1: Vromans Book Signing 2013: The book signing was designed as the first step in many to promote the book “Our Ever Changing World: Through the Eyes of Artists: “What are you saving from extinction?”

Our Ever Changing World: Through the  Eyes of Artists: “What Are You Saving From Extinction?”

Layout 1Book One: (8.5 x 11 color) covers my thinking that artists “save” something from being forgotten. I thought this focus would be something everyone can relate to in today’s world of forever changing views, new technology, and global change. I noticed that artists work to bring something that is hidden into light. That their way of seeing our world opens us to new ways of being and thinking. Different perspectives help to bring about change.
