Book 12: 2020 #spare-a-square

#spare-a-square

When toilet paper was seen as a rare commodity

Never in a million years would I have thought that toilet paper (TP) would cause such stress. But turns out that toilet paper and sanitizer were the first things to be horded when the Covid-19 Quarantine started in March of 2020.

And thats where I got the idea for this book. If TP is so rare, lets “#spare-a-square” for art’s sake.
The project asked for artwork to use one 4×4 sheet of TP, it could be painted, folded, drawn on, basically anything they wanted, but only one sheet, and as you can imagine since artists like to work outside the box, some decided to send me their individual interpretations. I know you’ll enjoy the journey into the world of TP in a way you have not seen before.

Available from amazon: https://www.amazon.com/dp/B088VVLJVQ?ref_=pe_3052080_397514860

NOTE: Most artists kept within their style, but remember, TP is not easy to work with AND its intended to dissolve in water. Be sure to check out the Artists website for complete samples of their art.
A big thank you to all the artists who participated.

Book 6: Best of 2016 Artist Art & Story

Book 6 Best of 2016 Artist Art and Story book of 32 artists, art and story from their lives in the year 2016.

We live our lives in stories… each moment brings us that special opportunity to make it more, make IT our lives. Some we take what they offer and move on while others need more reflection and consideration. These are the ones that can change our lives deeper than imagined and when we share them they grow and travel and change others lives.

So much of the time I hear “I can’t write” and I respond with… if you can speak it you can write it. In todays technical world we can talk into a mic and it will type out your story for you. Then you edit it. It works. That’s what I do!!

There are still artists sending me their photos with the book open to their pages so visit us again to see them all.

If you are an artist I encourage you to join our mailing list to receive updates on the call for entries and other opportunities we will be posting as time goes on. Continue reading

Book 4: OECW: Artists, Art & Story Southern California

Our Ever Changing World: Through the  Eyes of Artists: “Artists, ART & Story: Southern California

cvrBook Four:  (5.5 x 8.5 black and white) Spotlights Southern California Artists their art and story. The focus of the book was to write a story, 500 to 1,000 words long and to share a life experience NOT related to or mention art in any way. As artists it seems we are always talking to and about our lives as artists. My intention was to help move the focus more to the history of the artist as a combination o f life experiences. We are more than our art… we are our story.

There are 90 artists and 280 pages to read through.
